Mic Conway’s National Junk Band

Sat 28th April 2012 – Mic Conway’s National Junk Band

KATOOMBA RSL CLUB
86 Lurline St, Katoomba, Blue Mountains, Australia

Political satire meets jug band blues.

Lunatic onstage antics and musical mayhem combine as a new-vaudevillian comedy cabaret, featuring saws, nose flutes, sousaphone and a real kitchen sink.
Expect juggling, magic, tap dancing, and some very funny songs. Witness fire, illusion, passion, irreverent satire, singing saws, flying chooks and musical mayhem.

Audiences know Mic Conway’s tongue-in-cheek style from “Captain Matchbox Whoopee Band” and “Circus Oz”.
Mic Conway has collected together some of Australia’s finest oddball virtuoso musicians, including Cazzbo Johns (The Kransky Sisters, The Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra), Phil “Philthy Dunny Seat” Donnison (Jugalug), Jeremy “Junkyard” Cook (The Elton Jack Show, Black Hatz, Justine Clarke) and Marcus Holden (Fiddlers Feast). Witness fire, illusion, passion, irreverent satire, singing saws, flying chooks and musical mayhem.

Since 1997, the National Junk Band has had toes tapping and jaws dropping at festivals, pubs, and venues across Australia.
Festival favourites at the likes of Woodford Folk Festival (QLD), The National Folk Festival (ACT), Cygnet (TAS), Fairbridge (WA), and recently at BluesFest (Byron Bay, QLD).
