ISABEL RUMBLE (TAS) ‘Hold Everything Lightly’ Album Tour
live at The Little Lost Bookshop, Katoomba, Blue Mountains

THURSDAY 30th October 2025
Doors Open 6:30pm | Show Start 7pm

Indie-folk songstress, Isabel Rumble, is captivating audiences worldwide with her intimate song writing and a voice that speaks directly to the heart.

Raised by the riverside on a walnut farm, Isabel’s music grew from the rich folk music community of the Far South Coast of NSW. It has taken her to significant stages like Port Fairy Folk Festival, as well as across the globe, including house concerts in India and shows atop Austrian Alps.

Isabel’s 2023 Folk Alliance Australia nominated debut album, Bird Be Brave, led to extensive tours in Australia and overseas. Following her debuts in Europe and the UK in 2024 and early 2025, Isabel returned home to finish her second album Hold Everything Lightly, recorded at renowned Four Winds, Barragga Bay, NSW. Produced by Heath Cullen, it is launched in October and followed by a nation wide tour.

Isabel brings her new record to the Blue Mountains for a special intimate solo concert at the Little Lost Bookshop.

“With a voice like honey and a capacity to hit notes with such care and clarity, as if Billie Eilish, Laura Marling and Katie Noonan morphed into a single voice. Simply gorgeous.” – Kath Devaney,  ABC Country Music Director

“Her delicate and beautiful vocals and her clear talent as a songwriter are an indication she has much to offer the contemporary folk genre.” – review of UK debut headline

Old-Timey Tales with Porch Couch (CAN) & CJ Stranger (AUS) live at The Little Lost Bookshop, Katoomba, Blue Mountains

Old-Timey Tales with Porch Couch (CAN) & CJ Stranger (AUS)
Live at The Little Lost Bookshop, Katoomba, Blue Mountains

FRIDAY 17th October 2025
Doors Open 7pm | Show Start 7:30pm

Alan Mackie and Jaron Freeman-Fox are Porch Couch, reanimating old-time and square dance tunes from Appalachia and beyond on fiddle and banjo, deftly balancing a deep respect for tradition against all the times they’ve shirked it: throat singing with Norwegians in a Siberian yurt camp, modern dancers leaping across tables at the PWYC bar gig, or playing for Swedish ravers under the midnight sun while the drummer bangs pool cues on the floor. Wry, colourful, and psychedelic, Porch Couch is an original sound in traditional music that moves listeners and dancers alike.

Opening the evening is local legend CJ Stranger.

CJ Stranger combines old school Australian storytelling with indie-folk grit and a constantly adventurous guitar style. He’ll draw you in with humorous comments on the absurdities of life before telling you a folk tale so lyrically vivid you feel like you’re in it.

His 2023 album Coming Up For Air and his 2020 album Hey Stranger both received critical acclaim and widespread airplay across the country including triple j and Double J. Listeners have often spotted influences such as Paul Kelly, Kurt Vile and Bob Dylan in CJ’s songs combined with a guitar sound landing somewhere between Ry Cooder and J. Mascis. CJ (the alter ego of Cameron Henderson) lives on Darug Country, Blue Mountains, Australia.
