Known for presenting unique and talented acts to the Blue Mountains over the last 14 years, Fusion Boutique is really looking forward to teaming up with Hotel Etico again to bring Mt Victoria even more quality live music at the Blue Mountains hottest new live music conservatory and bar.

Jesse was born in Sydney, raised on the Sunshine Coast (Gubbi Gubbi country).
He has an educated background in earth sciences at UQ and USC (Australia), with fields of study in areas of geological time, evolution and environmental systems and processes. Upon finalising his studies in late 2018 (age 24), Jesse commenced an official pursuit to translate his passion for the Earth and spirituality into music.

His music is inspired by Australian grass roots / rock, Celtic folk songs and Nordic Melodie’s. Jesse has performed intensively around the Sunshine Coast, featuring at PranaFest 2021/22, Buskers By the Lake Festival 22 and is a renowned musician for the The Eumundi Markets since 2020.

Song writing provides a way for him to honour his family line, celebrate community spirit and sing up the wild places of this Earth.

After spending years in a musical wasteland, Mandy Hawkes began to write songs again, and became preoccupied with singing about mortality, end times and other serious themes. Raised on a steady diet of Hymns and Dylan, Mandy’s unconventional voice is equal parts weary soul traveller and folk storyteller. She sings authentic songs that will move even the stoniest of hearts, marrying folk traditions with Australian country.

In 2017 she released her debut EP The Water Was Deep, a collection of songs contemplating death, afterlife and Hawkes’ religious upbringing – recorded and co-produced with Bill Chambers at Chambers Avenue Studio. 2023 hails the release of the Northern Rivers folksinger’s debut full length album We Were Just Kids, recorded and co-produced with Jordan Power. This body of work exhibits more mature songwriting and diverse sounds, yet maintains Hawkes’ deeply personal and authentic narratives. It charts a path through the various stages of relationship breakdown and grief, with some reflections on childhood and the human condition.

Joining Mandy on the night will be Christina Webster performing on banjo, harmonies and keys and Sam Troy on pedal steel.

The OCB was built In 1912 as Katoomba’s first bank building, converted to the Carrington Saloon Bar in the 1930’s and in 1992 the bar was reopened after a change of ownership and a major renovation of the entire property. Since reopening, The Old City Bank Brasserie has won many awards for offering consistently good quality, innovative Pub food. In 2010 it was inducted into the Australian Hotels Hall of Fame.

With his debut EP, 2021’s You Caught Me Smiling, Cormac glided onto the scene with a silky body of work on youth, love and soul. A subtly confident vignette of Grant’s funk sensibilities. Throughout a year of non stop gigging and honing his production skills, Cormac started searching for a way to build upon his already well established sound. This became his latest Project; Into The Mystic, which lies somewhere between a hazy road trip and a kaleidoscopic free fall. Amidst a lush canopy of psychedelia driven funk and soul, Cormac assembles subtly captivating riffs, verdant harmonies and luxurious rhythms to create a vivid mosaic of getting older, and learning to remove yourself from the picture. It’s a mature, delicately curated collection which captures the light of Cormac’s past work and shines it through a new, beautifully fractured lens.

For the past year, the Newcastle, NSW based singer-songwriter buried himself in Jazz, 90s Hip-Hop and Psychedelic Soul only to emerge with an amalgamation of his signature lyricism and the essence of the woozy rhythms and grooves he dived into. Les Thomas is a Truth-telling troubadour sharing stories and songs to move, enlighten and inspire.

Whether it’s the sustaining invocation to his young son, or the pain and desperation of our forgotten peoples, Les Thomas sings true to the heart of every listener. His intense lyrical style, and impassioned musical presentation enthral with deftly woven stories that we can’t walk away from. His songs remain on our lips for days after they are heard. Les Thomas is the champion of generations of Melbourne songwriters through his renowned Unpaved Songwriter Sessions. And the passion he brings to writing and presenting the songs of our times is an experience you will feel rewards your soul, making him a must-see artist.

Les Thomas sets his lyricism to the sounds of country-folk and Americana while drawing inspiration from the likes of Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Steve Earle as well as local legends like Archie Roach, Kev Carmody and Paul Kelly.
Coming from a culturally and racially diverse family background, and with decades of grass-roots activism as a unionist and social justice advocate, Les has a strong and direct connection to his community in Naarm/Melbourne and beyond.

His music has always been in solidarity with the oppressed, refugees, migrants, dispossessed, socially excluded and marginalised peoples and a good proportion of his live performances have been at rallies, picket lines and on the back of trucks at protests.
Over the years, Les has also shared a lot of music writing and interviewing, helping to promote local artists via the Unpaved website and songwriter sessions at The Old Bar and POME Richmond which got to feature people like Liz Stinger, Marlon Williams, Courtney Barnett, Van Walker and many others. He’s interviewed a wide variety of local and international artists including Steve Earle, Jason Isbell, David Bromberg, Eric Bibb and Valerie June.

His debut single ‘Song for Selva’ is based on a letter from a Tamil asylum seeker who had been detained without charge for 37 months. After strong community radio support for the song in the first week after its release, Selva was removed from Broadmeadows detention centre into “community detention”.
Les is preparing to release his new album “All My Friends Are Superstars” in September 2023 with production by Stephen Grady (The Ahern Brothers). He’ll be touring and promoting the album extensively over the following months and into 2024.

Support will be from Bradley Christmas of Sydney Alt country act “Copperline” who will also join Les on keys, for a one off unique show in the Blue Mountains.
Since cutting his teeth in the 90’s with prog rockers Arkenstone, Brad’s musical journey has taken him in some weird and wonderful directions. He’s been a hired toured gun for Steve Kilby (the Church), Jeff Duff and Peter Fenton (Crow) and spent many years living and playing music in the U.K. and Japan, where he wrote and performed music for TV with the likes of Orlando Bloom and Marty Friedman (Megadeth).
With his latest project Copperline, Brad has indulged his life-long passion for classic narrative song writing, Americana and twang. Since releasing their debut record Rusty Fords and Weatherboards, the band has become a festival favourite with appearances at Tamworth, the Blue Mountains Music Festival and Country Rocks among many others.
