Duo Caliente are a vibrant flute and guitar duo which specialises in energetic and passionate Latin and Spanish music. Featuring the fiery talents of Rebecca Guy and Duncan Gardiner.
Duo Caliente live up to their name, promising the hottest favourites from tango maestro, Astor Piazzolla, to the most achingly beautiful Spanish impressions of Ravel.
From fringe festivals to concert halls, jazz clubs or arts spaces, Duo Caliente have been delighting audiences with their appealing blend of Latin and Spanish music.
Duo Caliente was formed with the intention of being an elite chamber ensemble. While both Duncan and Rebecca have exciting and diverse careers as soloists and recording artists they are excited to showcase their talents in the form of an exclusive chamber ensemble.
With Duo Caliente, the music comes first. With over a decade’s performance experience together the duo is emerging as one of Australia’s most exciting ensembles for their imaginative interpretations and musicianship. Simply, fine music played well.

Paragon’s Chef David Povelsen spent his first 4 years working at Solitary which saw the restaurant maintain it’s coveted position as a ‘one hatter’ in the Good Food Guide. In 2007 David realised a chef’s dream when Solitary attained 2 hats and was one of only 2 two-hatted restaurants in the state.
We are delighted to be able to include David and his talented culinary skills in these unique experience events at the Historic Paragon Café.
The seasonal special event MENU will be an alternate drop, unless guests advise the cafe of preferences prior to the evening of the event. Please note that vegetarian options are also available by prior order.
