Singer-songwriters Patrick McDermott and Rhys North share a rare and enigmatic musical talent. Emerging from Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley in 2016, the duo McDermott & North have already drawn praise from the Australian and international music industry alike.
Staying true to their busking roots, the pair approach every performance with the same precision and meticulous attention to sound. It is with this humility that they have elevated themselves as live performers and captivated the likes of Australia’s very own Ben Lee and Alex Lloyd whom they shared the stage with in 2021.

Their most recent singles ‘Ally’, ‘Georgia’ & ‘All Things Come And Go’ have received generous support from both Triple J & National NZ Radio as well as BBC Radio London. But most importantly, the indie-rock folk outfit have amassed an impressive and hardcore following everywhere they park their van.

Despite gearing up to relocate to Melbourne in 2022, their two sold out shows at Brisbane’s The Junk Bar in December are testament to the fact that the guys are only just getting started.

With live performance at their heart, the two have navigated their way across the Australian continent and brought their heartfelt, unassuming method of storytelling in song to a wide reaching, loyal fanbase in their time together.

If you merged John Butler Trio, Florence + The Machine, and Matt Corby, you’d get newly formed 3-piece TYDE. Brandishing a rich soundscape that ebbs and flows between folk, funk and alternative rock, TYDE is a force to be reckoned with.
The trio is made up of Cole Clark Guitars-endorsed percussive finger-style guitarist Ella Belfanti, her 15-year-old sister and bass prodigy Zoe Belfanti, and West End drummer Josh Garnett.
Flavoured by each of the trio’s unique musical tastes and backgrounds, TYDE will have you both grooving to infectious hooks and reflecting on your life choices with their introspective lyricism. TYDE’s songs have been written and developed across the snowy mountains of Australia and Japan, the sunburnt Aussie East Coast.

Those that have witnessed a Dave Wells performance are privy to the beguiling power of this most rare of musicians. Few songwriters conjure the emotive force of this songwriter, whose command of both voice and guitar captivates to the point of transcendency. On his new seven-track release, due mid-2021, Wells captures the arresting simplicity of his voice and guitar. In the midst of a global pandemic, the Hunter-based songwriter collaborated with world-renowned producer and engineer Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, Powderfinger), the mutual aim to depart from the robust full-band bells-and-whistles delivery of Wells’ acclaimed debut solo record and strip the songs down to their elemental components. In February 2021, Wells will embark on his first post-COVID headline tour, taking this mostly unheard set of songs on the road for a series of solo and full-band shows. The first taste of the new material will be single ‘Hey Mate’, a searing tribute to a dear friend, and a song that will perhaps apply to someone in the lives of all that hear it. With a now broader and more stunning songbook, Wells is sure to deliver mesmerising and life-affirming concerts for those lucky enough to attend. Just don’t forget to bring a mate.
