Corn Nut Creek are a powerhouse female Alt-Country/Americana duo, hailing from America and Australia. Their original music has been awarded as a category finalist and juror’s top five selection in the 2020 Blues & Roots Radio International Song Contest. The band features the artful banjo work of Tanya Bradley, paired with the deft fiddle and soulful vocals of Danielle Vita, 1st place winner of 2020 Deer Creek Fiddlers Convention (USA) vocalist award. The duo’s original songs tell raw stories of womanhood which are transporting, honest and effortless. Their story is unique; they met in Hong Kong and performed as the Dulcet Tone Collective, then moved back to their respective countries and began writing music together remotely. After four years collaborating in different countries, they reunited—this time in Australia. They have been featured on ABC Country’s ‘Saturday Night Country’, Bluegrass Country Radio’s ‘Foggy Hollow’, WDVX Tennessee’s ‘Sweetgrass’ and Blues & Roots Radio, among many others. They are currently working on their second album, set to be released in August 2021.

Kimberley Wheeler has the uncanny knack of being able to find the right note and the right turn of phrase in the creation and performing of her music. From a classical beginning, this award-winning songwriter came to acoustic roots music along a winding trail through grunge metal, bluegrass and Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks. With a voice described as Celtic Chocolate, she is often compared to singers such as Linda Thompson, Linda Ronstadt and Gillian Welch. Her luscious vocals and gritty songs underpin the band’s acoustic folk pedigree. Kimberley’s late discovery of Tim O’Brien’s, Red On Blonde (a take on Bob Dylan), opened an explosive portal to the folk universe that has directed her ever since. Variously, she has been a member of all-star bluegrass outfit, Uncle Bill, played with Dan Hicks and now has her own band, Roadside Holiday. In 2017 she instigated and curated the all Aussie, Women in String Bands, CD, has been President of Australian Bluegrass & Old Time Association and presently sits on the Musicians Australia Leadership Committee. She is a current finalist in Tamworth Songwriters Association Awards.

South-Coast singer/songwriter Dan Challis melds lyrically-driven acoustic folk music, with a story-telling focus. His songs centre on the lived-experience, and befit his troubadour ethos; living out the very life he tells stories about through his music.

Dan has captivated audiences both here and in North America, where he spent the last 4 years up until 2020. It was there he penned the songs for his most recent body of work, ‘No Lonely Road’ (2020); his sophomore album. The music has been described as “rich, authentic acoustic folk… (that) should make you feel something raw and timeless.”

Challis speaks of the impetus behind the making of ‘No Lonely Road’; “The album represents a short but significant chapter of my journey as a songwriter. Being in North America for 4 years changed me as a person and I wanted the songs to reflect that. I look back on that time and how I captured those moments in this body of work; and how it all had such a profound impact on my life. I wouldn’t have been able to write this album without those experiences.”

Dan is based full time in Australia now, and follows the classic model of ‘stomping the pavement’ when it comes to getting his music out there; being known for his willingness to tour, especially in regional areas, and bring his love for his craft direct to the people; no matter what the venue, pub, club or local RSL. This year alone he played over 36 shows on a two-month long tour of NSW and south-east QLD, to promote the release of his latest album.

These two Australian singer-songwriters have recently released their new albums and are hitting the road this year to connect with audiences across the country.

Folk singers at heart, their individual stories and songs are expressed in the simplest way possible, through guitar and voice.

Stephen Grady released his album ‘Wonder’ in October 2020, which “Strikes a perfect balance of sparse folk and balladeer-blues, with Nick Drake and Jose Gonzales undertones, ‘Wonder’ is a world class composition” (Kath Devaney, ABC Music Programmer/Producer).

Dan Challis’ album ‘No Lonely Road’, came out in November 2020 and was inspired by a 4-year journey across North America. It has been called “rich, authentic acoustic folk… And should make you feel something raw and timeless” (EarToTheGround Music blog).

The two artists will be touring together, not as a duo, but two friends sharing the road and supporting each other as they both play their individual songs.

Smith & Jones, a duo from Bathurst, made up of keyboard player and vocalist Abby Smith, with guitarist and vocalist Sophie Jones, have never been ones to follow the pack. Though classified as alt-country, their goal has never been to remain within the confines of any genre, preferring to let their sound and their songs take them where they will.

In late 2016 Smith & Jones finished recording their debut album, ‘Dark Gives Way’, with Michael Carpenter at Love Hz in Sydney. This album’s first three singles, ‘Baby Blue’, ‘Small Town Woman’ and ‘Your Achin’ Heart’, all went to number one on the internet’s Australian Country Radio charts and also charted in Tasmania over four weeks.

2018 saw Smith & Jones finish work on their highly anticipated second album, ‘Something Worth Learning’, which they recorded at Love Hz Studios and Linear Recording and will be released in March and toured for the remainder of 2019. Though ‘Something Worth Learning’ is still full of the charm and joy audiences have come to expect from Smith & Jones, their new work delicately balances themes of love and loss, friendship and isolation, emotional desire and freedom, fearlessly exploring the depths of their musical partnership with the listener by their side.

Saije is an award-winning, contemporary folk duo whose soulful harmonies, dynamic guitar-lines and percussive breakdowns breathe life into heartfelt stories. Their songwriting is crafted from the depths; stirring melodies bound together with graceful lyricism. Through multitasking techniques, the pair create a full-bodied sound enriched by flavours from their travels around the globe.
Growing up among the rivers and valleys of a small creative town on the East Coast of Australia, Saije, Shanteya and Jo, developed a close affinity with the natural world. From these early inspirations and their many barefoot adventures, messages of conscious living and connection to self, the Earth and each other have become a common thread that is etched into their songwriting.
After being awarded Folk Alliance Australia’s ‘Young Artist of the Year 2019-2020’ at the National Folk Festival, armed with harmony, guitars and foot drums Saije toured their latest release Kindred (2019) throughout Australia and Canada in early-2020. They continue to uplift both national and international audiences through their unifying performances and a warmth that fills small halls and overflows from large festival stages.

John Kennedy’s 68 Comeback Special will be bringing their Urban and Western sounds to Blackheath Bar & Bistro in open entry format.

An enthusiastic young music journalist once described John Kennedy as a humble genius. John is neither a genius nor particularly humble. The Sydney musician is the writer and performer of many fine songs, some of which have found a place in the hearts of music fans of the golden era of Australian independent music.
John Kennedy started his music career in Brisbane in the ‘80’s with his band JFK and the Cuban Crisis. He moved to Sydney with the band and had early success with heavy JJJ airplay of indie hits like ‘The Texan Thing’ and ‘The Ballad of Jackie O’. The band broke up and John moved on to a strong solo career with his band John Kennedy’s Love Gone Wrong. More indie hits followed with songs like ‘King Street’ and ‘Miracle (in Marrickville)’ helping define what John called his Urban and Western sound.
Despite topping the Australian Independent Music charts with the ‘Always The Bridegroom’ album, commercial crossover proved to be elusive leading to John’s decision to leave Australia. He spent the ‘90’s living and playing music in Berlin, Hong Kong and London before returning to Sydney in 2000. He formed a new band and continues to perform and produce independent releases with his band John Kennedy’s ‘68 Comeback Special.

This time John returns to BB&B in full band mode. Their regular guitarist, ex-Wiggle Murray Cook, won’t be available for this gig so they will be joined by Richard Burgman (The Sunnyboys) on lead guitar. The band also consists of Peter Timmerman on drums and Phil Hall on bass.
Audiences can expect great music and many humorous stories relating to these songs.

In 2017 Andy Nelson arrived onto the live music scene with a rustic Americana/Folk style. His passionate performances are delightfully infectious and rapidly becoming a highlight for audiences around the country.

Andy has supported the Small Halls Festival Tour and began playing at festivals and venues all over the continent such at the National Folk Festival, The End Festival, Inland Sea of Sounds, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Gympie Music Muster, Majors Creek (Festival Favourite as reviewed by Timber & Steel), Cygnet Folk Festival, Nannup Music Festival, Jamberoo and was a semi-finalist in the 2018 BluesFest busking completion.

In 2019, with producer Syd Green, Andy recorded his debut album ‘Man on the Mountain’ in a small farmhouse in Kangaroo Valley. Listeners quickly recognise the themes within Andy’s lyrics, revolving around discovery and gratitude of one’s self, the greed of others and the desire to follow dreams. Kate Ceberano commented on Andy’s performance at the 2021 Inland Sea of Sound as ‘Singing about the humanness of it all’

Those that have witnessed a Dave Wells performance are privy to the beguiling power of this most rare of musicians. Few songwriters conjure the emotive force of this songwriter, whose command of both voice and guitar captivates to the point of transcendency. On his new seven-track release, due mid-2021, Wells captures the arresting simplicity of his voice and guitar. In the midst of a global pandemic, the Hunter-based songwriter collaborated with world-renowned producer and engineer Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, Powderfinger), the mutual aim to depart from the robust full-band bells-and-whistles delivery of Wells’ acclaimed debut solo record and strip the songs down to their elemental components. In February 2021, Wells will embark on his first post-COVID headline tour, taking this mostly unheard set of songs on the road for a series of solo and full-band shows. The first taste of the new material will be single ‘Hey Mate’, a searing tribute to a dear friend, and a song that will perhaps apply to someone in the lives of all that hear it. Meteor Infant is the project of South Coast-based singer-songwriter Liam Keenan. 2019 saw the release of the album “United in His Physical Scar,” which drew upon Keenan’s Indigenous identity and experiences growing up in regional Australia.
The music is folk rock in the style of Fleet Foxes and the English folk of the 60s/70s. This will be their debut Blue Mountains performance.

John has been very active in the last years with three new album releases. 2017 saw ‘JFK and the Midlife Crisis’ album, a concept album about a middle aged Inner West musician looking back over his life lived to an indie music soundtrack. Last year John released his second best of album called appropriately ‘Second Best’. And this year John and his band brought out a celebration of Australian independent music with covers of songs by the Triffids, Paul Kelly, the Scientists, the Go-Betweens and many others on the ‘Raining Treasure’ album. John has also played solo acoustic shows throughout his career.

John will perform songs from across his career at his upcoming Blackheath solo show.

Love Local Live was the Blue Mountains City Council’s first-ever series of local events that was brought to the community via live streaming.

That’s why Council is still looking for creative and safe ways to engage with you. Previously known as Andie Isalie, Dee, has chosen to rebrand herself amidst a new stage in life. Growing up in the Blue Mountains, Dee gained a hefty YouTube following throughout her teenage years under her old pseudonym, which brought opportunities of international touring and collaboration, crowd sourced projects and caught the eye of major players in the industry including SONY. Revaluating her career intentions and aspirations as a largely self-taught and immensely passionate soul/jazz/folk musician, Dee thought it best to turn a new leaf from a brand she felt was heavily tied to the YouTube sensibility, a mix of popular covers and original work. This change has been a weight lifted. While many fans of Dee’s previous work have joined the cause in support of her current musical journeys, this is a new chapter as Dee opens the door to a sense of freedom to be able to create with no prior held expectation. Standing at 4’11 and half, with steel lungs, infectious laughs and a totally DIY kitted out school bus as a house, Dee is synonymous with her raw lyricism and relatable energy.

Love Local Live is Blue Mountains City Council’s first-ever series of local events that will be brought to the community via live streaming.

That’s why Council is still looking for creative and safe ways to engage with you. The new Love Local Live series will bring a little entertainment to you, wherever you are, while supporting and promoting local businesses and creatives.”

CJ Stranger hones a unique sound and spirit. He carves out contemporary Australian music and perfectly matches gentle simmering with the raw honesty of reflective coming-of-age lyrics.
Slinging a small-but-powerful arsenal of instruments, CJ Stranger crafts his distinctive sound using an old weathered resonator, a weird vintage organ, and his beloved purple guitar Frankenstein-ed out of discarded bits and pieces. This array of re-purposed musical antiques allows CJ Stranger to sculpt a vivid and honest landscape for his musings.

These days based in the Blue Mountains while regularly Sydney-side, CJ’s 2016 debut album established his prowess as a singer, songwriter and guitar player, but it was a different kind of animal. CJ Stranger is an exaggerated and more nuanced side of Henderson, brought forth by exploring this new artistic persona.

The Three Handed Beat Bandits are undoubtedly the best three handed little big band in the world today.

Made up of the two-handed John Stuart and the single handed Neill Duncan, between them they play guitar, bass, congas, drums and saxophone, all at the same time.
Megaphone vocals included, this beat combo swing their listeners through a kaleidoscope of musical styles, including reggae, ska, calypso, funk, swing, and a little klezmer thrown in for good measure.
Beautiful to the ear, great for the feet.

Neill Duncan is one of New Zealand’s most exciting and eccentric musicians, now a resident of the Blue Mountains. Three years ago he lost his left arm to cancer. With the help of the community, Neill has been able regain full musical strength. Neill now plays an incredible one-handed tenor saxophone, designed and built in Amsterdam. His passion and musical imagination flow like never before. An adapted drum kit completes the mix, with some additional weird and wonderful instruments.

John Stuart is a master of the seven-string guitar. This amazing instrument allows John to cover the bass as well as provide the chordal accompaniment to the Bandit’s wide ranging repertoire. John is all about texture and space, switching between driving bass lines, and sparkling single line accompaniments. Bass solos? No extra charge. Add in the hot conga playing and all the elements of this extraordinary duo fall into place. Even the silences swing!

Together they are the Three Handed Beat Bandits. Their exotic musical gumbo will steal your heart.

At only 17, Katoomba singer/songwriter, Aurora Li is fast becoming a seasoned performer, playing regularly at live music venues, festivals and events in and around her home in the Blue Mountains and further afield, including Bello Winter Music, where she won the hotly-contested vocal category of the 2019 Youth Mentorship Competition, and the 2020 Illawarra Folk Festival, where she brought home Youth Tradition Awards in two categories. As the most senior member of family folk/bluegrass/indie pop trio, Breathing Underwater, Aurora has played to the packed concert hall of the Sydney Opera House as a featured artist for Pulse 2019, a showcase of outstanding young artists.
Alongside her performance commitments and hectic study schedule (she is currently preparing for her HSC), Aurora writes songs that are sometimes upbeat and irreverent, occasionally sad and angry, and often deeply moving, but always showing a wisdom and insight far beyond her years. Her spare, indie pop/folk sound is complimented by sharply observed lyrics that urge you to close your eyes and listen in, as she ponders the regrets, worries and passions of teenage life with a voice that will gently carry you along for the ride.

We are very pleased to welcome Gretta back for her single launch tour.

Gretta Ziller is an Americana Folk Singer/Songwriter with an ever-growing list of musical accolades. Her name may have more meaning at this stage in her career to the Australian Country Music scene, having recently been a finalist in the Alt-Country Album of the year category of the 2018 Golden Guitars, but just like Lucinda Williams she is as much folk/blues/country singer-songwriter as Lucinda and her placing in the finals of the “Americana” category of the 2016 Unsigned Only & a semi-finalist in the 2017 International song writing competition cemented that.
Gretta was a 2015 Toyota Star Maker grand finalist and has also been involved in the Telstra Road to Discovery competition gaining a spot in the 2013 grand final, that same year she was the TSA/APRA New Songwriter of the year. With vocals that range from sweet folk to gritty blues you’d never know Gretta started off her career as a Classical singer, and song writing idols like Steve Earle, Jim Lauderdale and Paul Kelly, Gretta is finding a multitude of welcoming arms for her blend of Country Folk & Americana music.
In 2017 Gretta has played alongside the likes of Shane Nicholson, Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart, Brad Butcher, Paddy McHugh & Lachlan Bryan just to name a few. Gretta released her debut album September 1 through Social Family Records.

First impressions aren’t always right. If you’ve been foolish enough to nail down the sound of acclaimed songwriter Gretta Ziller, then prepare to have the rug pulled out from under you. Queen of Boomtown, her stunning debut record, defies categorisation and demands repeated listens.

Since it’s release in 2017 Queen of Boomtown was not only long-listed for the Australian Music Prize but Gretta was also invited to perform at the Melbourne launch along side Jen Cloher & Birdz. The album received rave reviews from press, including Rhythms Magazine and a 4 star review from Rolling Stone Magazine. ‘Slaughterhouse Blues’ the first single from her album was also given an Honourable mention in the 2017 Unsigned Only and International Songwriting Competitions. The album was nominated for a Golden Guitar as well as an Age Music Award in 2018 and Gretta was mentored by Tom Busby (Busby Marou) as part of the 2018 APRA inaugural female songwriters mentorship program. Gretta was also an APRA PD finalist & performed at Australian Music Week November 2019, most recently she received a Golden Guitar nomination with ‘Vocal Collaboration of the Year’ for her song ‘Second Hand’. Gretta is due to release her second album mid 2020.

22 year old Irish twins Brandon and Ashley Watson combine to create The Ocelots. They have crafted their songwriting and musical experience together to produce a forceful blend of rich harmonies and bare, raw acoustic folk. Their music perfectly embodies the breezy effortlessness of early Bob Dylan, and Simon & Garfunkel.

During the 2018 summer festival season The Ocelots performed all across Ireland, UK and mainland Europe and also toured with acts such as Jack Johnson, Glen Hansard, Hudson Taylor and Isaac Gracie.
They are now widely known for their instinctual expression in live performances, unique blood harmonies and stories full of wit, charm and spontaneity.

Now situated in Leipzig, Germany, The Ocelots will release their debut album in early 2020. The album contains elements of folk and alternative rock; while also being melancholic and indelible. Coinciding with the release they will return to Australia in Spring 2020, before continuing on into Europe’s festival season.

The Groove is a new fusion of old sounds emerging from the Illawarra / Shoalhaven. An amorphous shifting blend of Spanish / Classical acoustic guitar vibes with driving Afro percussive rhythms. From Roots to Latin, Blues to Middle Eastern and Eclectic flavours in between The Groove tweak your sense of fun and familiarity. They are versatile, vivacious and vibrant and their sound invariably gets your toes tapping and your hands clapping to ‘The Groove’.

The Groove are Sako Dermenjian, Damion Stirling and Drewe Peard. Sako and Damion met jamming in the streets of Wollongong at the Honk Festival in 2016. There was an immediate spark and synergy of musical cultures. Sako, a brilliant guitarist, is a Syrian refugee who arrived in Wollongong just over three years ago. His grandmother gave him his first guitar at the age of seven and his passion and enthusiasm have lead him to now studying at the Conservatorium of Music in Sydney. Talented percussionist, Damion, grew up on the beaches of Woonona and found a passion for West African drumming and dance which he has been studying, teaching and performing for close to 20 years fusing traditional West African rhythms with Blues, Funk, Rock, Folk and all genres in between. Drewe is a solid talented bass player who has been performing in bands for decades. In his early teens he played the Belmore Basin Jazz band then later in high school band Ficus. He has since played with a number of bands including Swing Booty, Kenny Bartley and the Midnight Feast, Dear Samsara, Big Erle, Swamp n Beats and now The Groove.

The Groove’s synergistic organic sessions have captivated audiences of all ages and cultures from the Northern Beaches of Sydney down to the peaks of the Snowy Mountains. They have played the Beer Day Out, Canberra 2018, the Peak Festival (Perisher) 2017/18/19, Culburra Beach Festival 2017/18/19 and Illawarra Folk Festival 2018/2019, The Stomping of the Grapes Festival 2018/2019, Seechange Festival 2018, Viva La Gong 2018.
The Groove have supported Caravãna Sun, Claude Hay and 19twenty during their east coast tours.
They have played sold out gigs at the Tea Club, the Dish and Spoon and The Groove Cruise and shared their unique grooves in roof top bars, whiskey bars, churches (the Fairlight folk acoustic lounge, Manly) and the Fresh Flix Indy film festival in Nth Sydney.

Smith & Jones are a duo from Bathurst, made up of keyboard player and vocalist Abby Smith, with guitarist and vocalist Sophie Jones. They have never been ones to follow the pack. Though classified as alt-country, their goal has never been to remain within the confines of any genre, preferring to let their sound and their songs take them where they will. Nowhere does this desire for individuality shine brighter then on their newly released second album ‘Something Worth Learning’ which is still full of the charm and joy audiences have come to expect from them This new work delicately balances themes of love and loss, friendship and isolation, emotional desire and freedom, fearlessly exploring the depths of their musical partnership with the listener by their side.

Smith & Jones’ first album, ‘Dark Gives Way’, released in 2017, was extremely well received with it’s first three singles; ‘Baby Blue’, ‘Small Town Woman’ and ‘Your Achin’ Heart’, all went to
number one on the internet’s Australian Country Radio charts and received airplay around the country.

Though their roots will always remain in the foundations of country music, their originals have found an undefinable energy of their own. Part classic country ballads, part sweet jazz standards, and often with a tongue firmly planted in their cheek, their beauty is in their harmonic simplicity and lyrical power.

He has performed in many corners of the world from the USA, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Holland, Japan, Hong Kong, India and even performed at the highest blues festival in the world, The Himalayan Blues Festival in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Originally hailing from Canberra Australia, Owen began playing at the age of 9 years old, guided by a diverse range of influences and a strong musical family. By the age of 17 he was performing in clubs/pubs/busking and cutting his teeth performing wherever he could.

Now, Owen is gearing up to release his 4th studio album. “I thought it was time to do something different so I enlisted a group of talented friends and musical pilgrims and we congregated at a farm style studio in the hills outside of Cootamundra, NSW. We laid down the soul of the album over a few melting summer days and I quickly realised this was going to be something special. After so many years and albums I finally feel like I’ve found my musical homeland in this album. Easily one of the most rewarding rock n roll experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure to take part in.”

Gretta Ziller is an Americana Folk Singer/Songwriter with an ever-growing list of musical accolades. Her name may have more meaning at this stage in her career to the Australian Country Music scene, having recently been a finalist in the Alt-Country Album of the year category of the 2018 Golden Guitars, but just like Lucinda Williams she is as much folk/blues/country singer-songwriter as Lucinda and her placing in the finals of the “Americana” category of the 2016 Unsigned Only & a semi-finalist in the 2017 International song writing competition cemented that.
Gretta was a 2015 Toyota Star Maker grand finalist and has also been involved in the Telstra Road to Discovery competition gaining a spot in the 2013 grand final, that same year she was the TSA/APRA New Songwriter of the year. With vocals that range from sweet folk to gritty blues you’d never know Gretta started off her career as a Classical singer, and song writing idols like Steve Earle, Jim Lauderdale and Paul Kelly, Gretta is finding a multitude of welcoming arms for her blend of Country Folk & Americana music.
In 2017 Gretta has played alongside the likes of Shane Nicholson, Bennett, Bowtell & Urquhart, Brad Butcher, Paddy McHugh & Lachlan Bryan just to name a few. Gretta released her debut album September 1 through Social Family Records.

There are certain writers who command moving melodies and lyrics in equal measure. Dave Wells is one of those artists. The gifted musician has quickly garnered a word-of-mouth reputation as one of the Hunter’s finest songwriters and performers; a master craftsman whose songs creep up on you and cut deep.

Spaciously intense and progressive, his emotionally and sonically diverse debut record exemplifies Wells’ indie folk and alt-rock influences. Australian progressive folk/roots artist Jordan McRobbie has fast become known for his honest voice and virtuosic ability on the 12 and 6 stringed guitars, while laying Middle-Eastern and Celtic infused riffs over electronic beats and latin percussion.
Over his career he’s released two studio-records, toured internationally and taken out multiple song writing and performance awards including the West Australian Blues/Roots Song of the Year for his track ‘High Tide’ that garnered the young artist airplay on local and national radio including Triple J.

It has been a mammoth couple of years, playing festivals such as Nannup, Fairbridge, Bridgetown Blues, Peak Festival and over 100 shows a year, including opening for Neil Finn (Crowded House), Angus & Julia Stone, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Nahko & Medicine for the People, and touring with Mat McHugh & The Beautiful Girls to name a few.
Currently recording his forthcoming EP (Featuring members of Wolfmother & Dead Letter Circus) McRobbie now has his sights set on touring the record through Australia in 2019, followed by Europe and North America.

The Buffalo Grass Boys are a rocking mix of Alt Country/Rockabilly & Bluegrass who hail from Sydney’s Inner West & Northern Beaches. They will keep your feet moving with their up tempo steam train style, sweet sweet melodies & loose as live show! With multi layered harmonies & the band’s focus on melody, singers Luke, Phil & Charlie create their own distinct Australian sound vocally.
Big things have gone down with the boys playing both days of the sold out Meatstock Festival, a month long residency at the Moonshine Bar in Manly, an appearance at Manly Food & Wine Festival, and massive monthly shows at The Annandale Hotel, The Wild Rover and The Old Manly Boatshed. The lads are one of the regular ‘Sunday Arvo Session’ bands at Henry’s Rooftop in Manly & recently have played the Cutthroat Folk Festival, and headline shows at The Townie in Newtown and also supported The Bottlers at Frankie’s Pizza. The band hit the studio in 2018 with Pauly B at the Cock & Shovel Studios in Annandale and are looking to release a full length album in the second half of 2019.

Samba Trombada is a group based in the Blue Mountains, NSW. Formerly known as King Parrot Samba, Samba Trombada was established in 2007 by Javier Rodriguez.
The group specialises in carnival drumming, samba, which is played in Rio de Janiero across many neighbourhoods and towns.
Samba Trombada embraces the percussive aspect of Brazilian community drumming, collaborating with like minded Brazilian dancers and performers across Sydney.
